Micro-moments of joy help signal safety to the nervous system.

Why this matters

Our nervous systems are constantly scanning for cues of danger or safety.
Small moments of beauty, curiosity, or delight can gently tell the body that it is safe enough to soften, connect, and regulate.

Over time, noticing these moments can help build emotional resilience.

Practice

Pause and notice something beautiful around you for 10 seconds.

It might be:

  • sunlight on a wall

  • the sound of wind in the trees

  • the warmth of your tea

Let yourself simply notice it.

What this work is ALL about:

Hi! I’m Makayla.

Through coaching, workshops, writing, and creative projects, I explore how nervous system awareness and creative reflection can help us navigate the beautiful and ridiculous complexity of being human.

As a Tapping- and somatic-focused coach, I help people release old patterns, regulate their nervous systems, and step into the version of themselves they’ve always wanted to meet.

I have a BA in Traditional Eastern Arts (with a focus in Yoga) from Naropa University and spent years immersed in Somatic Psychology, NLP, EFT Tapping, and FasterEFT. As a lifelong self-development nerd, I've been devouring personal-growth books since childhood and training in movement, meditation, and embodiment practices for over a decade.

All of my work blends deep nervous-system awareness with practical tools and a lot of heart - because I believe that real transformation feels like coming home to yourself.

When I'm not coaching, you’ll find me rolling on the mats with my jiu-jitsu friends, singing in the car, eating ridiculously colorful salads, or visiting friends and family around the US.

1:1 Coaching Sessions

Coaching sessions are a powerful way to create shifts in your life.

I use a combination of breathwork, tapping, somatics, reflection, and other tools I've gathered along the way: models, paradigms, processes, to meet you where you are at and help you connect with more lightness, clarity, and empowerment.

I offer 60 minute and 90 minute sessions. 90 minute is great for your first session and if you have deeper content you want to dig into. 60 minute is great for deep work as well.
