How Does Creativity Support Emotional Resilience?

Creative practices help us access parts of ourselves that thinking alone cannot reach.

Writing, drawing, and reflective prompts allow emotions to move through the body and mind in a gentler way.

Creativity can support emotional resilience by helping us process experiences, reconnect with curiosity, and imagine new possibilities for the future.

This is why creative reflection is woven into many of the workshops and practices shared here.

1:1 Coaching Sessions

Coaching sessions are a powerful way to create shifts in your life.

I use a combination of breathwork, tapping, somatics, reflection, and other tools I've gathered along the way: models, paradigms, processes, to meet you where you are at and help you connect with more lightness, clarity, and empowerment.

I offer 60 minute and 90 minute sessions. 90 minute is great for your first session and if you have deeper content you want to dig into. 60 minute is great for deep work as well.

$200/90 min

What Is Nervous System Regulation and Why Does It Matter?

Nervous system regulation refers to the body’s ability to move between states of stress, rest, and engagement.

When the nervous system becomes overwhelmed by chronic stress, it can feel difficult to access calm, creativity, or emotional balance.

Practices like EFT tapping, mindful awareness, and creative reflection can help the body gradually return to greater steadiness.

These ideas are central to the work explored through coaching sessions and workshops.

Why Do Micro-Moments of Joy, Wonder, and Delight Matter?

Small moments of joy help the nervous system experience safety, curiosity, and connection.

Many people imagine that joy arrives in big, life-changing moments.

But psychology and wellbeing research suggest that our sense of happiness is often shaped by much smaller experiences — brief moments of curiosity, connection, beauty, or delight.

These small moments of joy can gently signal safety to the nervous system and remind us that life contains meaning, creativity, and possibility.

Over time, learning to notice and appreciate these micro-moments can shift how we experience everyday life.

This idea is part of the inspiration behind the Love Letter Club — small reflections arriving in your mailbox as a reminder to pause, notice, and reconnect with simple moments of wonder.

OR

Short answer

Micro-moments of joy help signal safety to the nervous system.

Why this matters

Our nervous systems are constantly scanning for cues of danger or safety.
Small moments of beauty, curiosity, or delight can gently tell the body that it is safe enough to soften, connect, and regulate.

Over time, noticing these moments can help build emotional resilience.

Practice

Pause and notice something beautiful around you for 10 seconds.

It might be:

  • sunlight on a wall

  • the sound of wind in the trees

  • the warmth of your tea

Let yourself simply notice it.

What this work is ALL about:

Many people are waiting to feel better.

Waiting until they’re fully healed, less messy, more confident, or more certain about what comes next.

But life rarely pauses while we figure everything out.

Practicing Living Joyfully is about building small practices that help life feel softer and more alive, even while things are still unfolding.

Because joy isn’t a reward. It’s a practice.

One of my favorite models to work with is: Calm -> Create -> Connect

These three ingredients can be used as steps:

1. Calm - calm your system (thoughts, feelings, body, and breath) by doing nervous system-friendly activities
2. Connect - connect to yourself through questions, awareness, guided meditations
3. Create - create from this place of calm connectedness. This is a way to fill your cup! To nourish yourself.

Calm - Connect - Create

Simple, repeatable, actionable.

I love this because it's specific enough to be clear.
Broad enough to allow room for PLAY.

You might even realize this is a pattern in the things that fill your cup:
A Yoga class will help you calm down through breath and the container of the space: the music, smells, ritual of it. It will help you connect with yourself through the words the teacher uses as well as the movements: heightening your awareness of your body and the sensations there in. Create - it will create a new thought, a new sense of "ah", and inspire your actions and behaviors moving forward. This is especially helpful when a teacher encourages you to have a clear takeaway from the time on the mat.
